Blanket upzoning nightmare. Imagine you manage to buy a house so you can enjoy the backyard, have trees around you, kids can play outside and have some privacy. But the City of Calgary only cares for the profits of inner city developers at the expense of neighbourhood's well being. So they let them shove an 8 unit shitbox transient dwelling where an affordable detached house was. Windows are now facing people's backyard. Zero privacy. Mature trees are gone. It will block hours of sunlight everyday. No new parking spaces. There goes the value of the property trying to sell it.
