You have no idea what people go through to try and make it to your interviews: scraping together taxi fare when there’s barely food at home, asking friends for data to submit documents, waking up at 4 a.m. to catch the first bus, practicing answers in the mirror with no confidence left, wearing the same outfit they’ve used for every interview because they can’t buy new ones. All that sacrifice, all that hope, just for you to say “no” when the position was never truly open ??? Stop the charade. If you’re only hiring insiders, don’t post the vacancy. Don’t play with people’s dreams and mental health. Do your backroom deals in peace and stop hurting applicants who are already struggling.
