@KuyavianR4p1st If you want a short answer - it's about the preservation of national identity. Historically neither Poland nor Russia tolerated Ukrainian identity separate from the empire, which caused uprisings. Belarusians on the other hand would integrate at the cost of erasure.

Lira was a very heavy smoker and and an outspoken anti-vaxxer who died of pneumonia. Essentially, he killed himself with his own poor decisions.
