MONTANA TRIBE OVERWHELMED WITH MEXICAN CARTELS -- Tribal leaders in Montana issued an urgent plea to Congress, saying they are overwhelmed and outmatched as Mexican drug cartels exploit jurisdictional loopholes to embed themselves on Native American reservations with devastating effects. Jeffrey Stiffarm, president of the Fort Belknap Indian Community, testified that the Sinaloa Cartel operates with near impunity in his region, capitalizing on chronic underfunding of law enforcement on the 652,000-acre reservation patrolled by just nine officers. “We are fighting a losing battle. The cartels are winning, the drug dealers are winning,” Stiffarm told Congress. “We are left alone to fight this battle against them.” Stiffarm told “NewsNation Prime” that up to hundreds of thousands of cartel operatives have infiltrated reservations across the American West, using the isolated lands as havens to traffic fentanyl pills and other drugs into the United States without scrutiny from federal authorities. “They know we’re short-staffed, underfunded, under-trained and outnumbered,” said Stiffarm, a former law enforcement officer for two decades. “They’re preying on our people, our children, our women. They get a foothold in and they’re here.” The Fort Belknap leader described cartel tactics like staging fake emergencies to divert the limited police presence, then quickly shuttling narcotics across other parts of the reservation undercover. But the devastation transcends drug running, as cartel operatives deeply embed themselves in tribal communities grappling with 70% unemployment rates and that are hours from urban centers. I’d go Pepsi personally. I have a coworker that just left Coke a year ago and he said he was capped at 25 an hour.
I did have a neighbor that worked for Columbia distribution and he didn’t mind it. Lots of hours and he said his yard was in Canby.
There’s plenty of companies hiring. Just don’t fall into the “driver shortage” propaganda. Do know that you can get a job anywhere after a few years experience though.
Parr doesn’t pay the best, but they do have decent benefits.
Also if you get your Class A license. That lets you drive Class B stuff like dump trucks.
Also Don’t worry about getting your endorsements for passengers, doubles/ triples or tankers right away. Unless you’ve got a job you’re eye balling that requires those. They can always be added later. It’s like 20 bucks and a 17 question computer quiz at the DMV.

@PandaOnABox Good to know. There is Pepsi in Mt. Angel which is about 20 minutes away and Coke in Wilsonville which is about 40. My commute is currently 70 minutes one way to Beaverton, so not bad by comparison.

Stay far away from Sysco, and other food industry companies. You will receive the shittiest and most stressful routes
