@HockeyFirst1 I think the concern is that they keep falling behind on the spends like development coaches, a practice facility, etc. The best version of the Canucks they were leading the league in non-cap spending. Sleep doctors, sports psychologists, etc. Now the penny pinching is eyerolling.

Low IQ takes on the Canucks being cheap. They got the GM everyone wanted. They got the coach everyone wanted. They moved out some deadweight players for picks. They drafted reasonably. They aren’t overspending like previous management has done. They have cap and are in a reasonable position 3 months into a rebuild. Yet low IQ takes magnify unsubstantiated rumours. Name one move you think the Canucks should have spent more on since RJ took over? Don’t mention an AHL coach you have never heard of before.

Just a few years ago when rates were at 3%, that exact same loan payment was $1,349. Sounds like the Canucks and City of Vancouver are close to an agreement to build a practice facility at Britannia Rink. It will include a state of the art gym, off ice training facility, lounge and locker room. The build will also include office space for the city.

If Thomas is right about Elias Pettersson’s trade value right now, I’d be all over this. Especially with the Swedish stronghold we have in Toronto right now at virtually every level. Due diligence required. He’s been through a lot. I’d go all in on EP40.
