ICU team getting ready to receive the first patient at the New Royal Papworth Hospital

After 151 days in our hospital, 142 of those in critical care, Rajinder, 38, has just been discharged from Royal Papworth Hospital. He was admitted to us on 31 January with COVID-19 and is the longest we have ever supported a patient on ECMO (an exceptional 132 days).

Rajinder was admitted with COVID in January and discharged in July, nearly half a year spent in @RoyalPapworth and our longest ECMO run in @PapCriticalCare - we never give up on patients! Well done Rajinder and best wishes for the rest of your recovery!
