I have just been made aware that a domestic abuser, Raphi Stein, is a follower of mine on social media. Raphi has refused to give his wife Adeena a Gett (Jewish bill of divorce), thereby preventing her from remarrying. Raphi can do so at any moment and is choosing to hold his wife captive instead. In accordance with Jewish Law, Raphi needs to be totally ostracized from our community. Don't speak to him, don't allow him into your Synagogue or school, refuse to sell anything to him. Those who abuse women and children have no role in Jewish life. Raphi if you're reading this: go fuck yourself.

I’m an Executive Platinum member. I was notified that I’d been upgraded to First Class, boarded, sat down in my seat, and took my sleeping pill for the flight. Then — literally a minute before the doors closed — I was told the upgrade was a “computer error” and forced back to Premium Economy.
No meaningful explanation. No accountability.
After 3 emails and multiple calls, the only response I received was an offer of 10k miles and “that’s the best we can do.”
Loyal customers choose airlines based on trust and consistency. I chose to stay loyal to American Airlines. Unfortunately, it feels like that loyalty means very little to AA.

Everyone should unequivocally condemn the government-imposed racial discrimination Obama is pushing!
Obama makes three errors in one post, all of them philosophical.
First, the United States is a constitutional republic, not a democracy. The purpose of the Constitution is to protect individual rights from the majority, not to ensure "equal participation in our democracy." The Founders designed the system specifically to prevent what Obama is demanding: unlimited majority rule.
Second, "protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach" sounds correct until you examine the premise. Rights belong to individuals, not groups. The moment you define rights by racial group membership, you have adopted the same collectivist framework that produced the discrimination you claim to oppose. Jim Crow categorized people by race and assigned rights accordingly. Modern voting rights activism does the same thing with different beneficiaries. Both are collectivism.
Third, gerrymandering is a problem created entirely by the system Obama wants to preserve: a political structure where the drawing of district lines determines outcomes. His solution is not to fix the structure. It is to ensure his side draws the lines.
The government must treat every citizen equally before the law. Everyone should reject Obama's framing entirely. He is not defending individual rights.
He is defending group power, while using the language of rights to make collectivism sound like liberty.

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach. The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

UCLA Law has threatened its @FedSoc chapter with punishment if it publicly identifies students seen on video disrupting last week’s viral campus event with a Department of Homeland Security lawyer.
But when protesters named chapter members online? No signs of concern from @UCLA_law. This double standard is striking and sounds First Amendment alarms.
The First Amendment protects students’ right to share truthful information about a public event, including the names of students who disrupted it, especially where attendees were informed in advance that the event would be recorded.
UCLA must make clear that no Fed Soc student member will face discipline for protected speech.
Stop picking favorites, UCLA. Correct this immediately.
