@plzbepatient Either the wife likes to see the husband "humiliated" occasionally and this is obviously funny for her, or worse, the father is a single dad that thinks acting gay is the only way to get his daughters to love him. Neither are good.

@teachrobotslove I code switch around coworkers to coexist with them because I don't like them. It's easier for everyone.

I can't quite articulate this yet, but it seems to me that many of the vibrant, most interesting people are the ones that often don't code-switch based on who they're interacting with. They don't filter and squeeze their personalities through whatever funnel they believe is required of them. There is not one separate, fragmented version of them that exists for their children, and one for their co-workers, and one for the stranger they met at the bar. They simply are who they are.

@ReviewsPossum I was taught no Oxford comma but I think the Oxford looks significantly better. I would get a red mark every time I used it and it made me mad.

@ComfyMeme @dissidentwest Taxi Driver is interesting because the MC is a horrible person but relatable in the worst way. A man pushed to his absolute limit. He's not "wrong" but has no true moral compass. So while the world has pushed him out he is just as bad, he just considers himself better.

What’s the best right wing coded movie that was clearly not intended to be for a right wing audience? You’re not allowed to say The Matrix.

Yes, it is infact a bad thing for my upper class neighbourhood to have graffiti on things. Graffiti is a sign that dysfunctional, low class, ghetto individuals live in the area. There’s a reason that nice neighbourhoods very rarely breed “people” who spray paint illegible squiggles on every building and piece of infrastructure. Graffiti is not “art” or “rebellion”, it is indicative of antisocial behaviour and is bad.

How much of PCOS is two separate conditions, one caused by women being overweight and developing insulin resistance/androgenic characteristics and the other caused by women being underweight and undereating/overexercising in a way that mimics those symptoms? It’s sad that everything is a syndrome because no one wants to address the underlying cause, which is that you probably have an eating disorder of some sort.
Pop Base@PopBase

PCOS is being renamed to PMOS. (Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome) The change comes from experts that say the old name was misleading, stating that it inaccurately suggested ovarian cysts as a defining feature.

@youngboobah @Sqeakerman04 I in particular deserve eternal torment. I accept I am a miserable sinner and thank God every day for His mercy upon me.

@youngboobah @Sqeakerman04 To suggest that some sinners are "more good" than others is ego. I am a wretched sinner the same as the murderer, it is only by Jesus am I saved. And God says he is vengeance for those unrepentant, not us, so we can never "make right" what the rapist/murderer did, only God.

@youngboobah @Sqeakerman04 All humans are sinners. The price of ALL sin is death, because we have all fallen short of God. TRUE repentance is accepting the gift that Jesus, the only sinless man, died for OUR sins, and there is no other way to heaven than through Him.

@00Ethan00 @Sqeakerman04 I love Paul because if you remember he was a persecutor and murderer of Christians before repenting and calls himself "the chief of sinners." 1 Timothy 1:14-16. He knows how terrible his life was and all the bad things he did but only because of God's grace is he saved.

@00Ethan00 @Sqeakerman04 I point to Romans 6-24 where Paul asks rhetorically if we should continue on in sin then because Jesus already paid for it. God forbid! We should walk and be like Jesus because we are no longer servants to sin and death but Him instead.
