this is so f*cking scary - a txn made 9 months ago to transfer just $5 ended up causing a $30K loss. TLDR: → a txn was approved 9 months ago → to interact with the ThirdWeb Universal Bridge → Infinite approval was given (just for a $5 transfer) → a vulnerability in the contract was discovered in April → but the contract remained active onchain, including the blog referencing the affected contract address → vulnerability allowed anyone to drain funds from users with infinite approval → the hacker waited 9 months for the user to deposit a substantial amount → And boom - $30K gone in a single txn → funds were sent to Railgun, so can’t be traced → thirdWeb permanently disabled the legacy affected contract after the hack was disclosed → the blog referencing the affected (now-disabled) contract address is still live I don’t even know whom to blame here. It’s honestly a shame that after all these years of building, crypto users still have to deal with stuff like this and this user is literally one of the smartest people in the industry.

Crypto has a major credibility problem. From Ethereum&layers to Solana to BSC BSC: Only recently they have shown that they care about their users, but their dubious listing system, inorganic attempts to pump memes, and the recent liquidation disaster, have severely damaged trust. SOL: after muliple rugs, easy to make, they still show their lack of position about it, amazing products are built on solana, but the foundation fail to properly put safe and valuable projects in the spotlight, instead, they post all the stuff possible and sometimes even suspicious stuff. all of this contributes to the loss of credibility that has been underway for some time now. ETH: not much to say, volume is near zero - if eth is at 4k it's only thanks to institutions - BASE suffer the same problem, same organic attempt to pump tokens with the same unsuccesful mechanism and fragmentation resulting in the same result for users. imagine what crypto should be in 2025/2026 with BTC at ATH if foundations start to give priority on building long term credibility for users again.

I quit trading for almost 2 years because I was no longer brave in the markets. When I returned, I waged war against my Fear by being Bold. After many profitable months, the market turned my boldness against me. Once again, I was reduced to a whimpering little boy. But in that moment, I chose to level up. Not by cranking up my size, but by lowering it. Being too large made me a target. My gains got smaller, but my wealth grew. I became less confident in myself, yet more consistently profitable. I doubt myself more now than any of you ever could, yet I stay in the position longer. When my size was too big, I exited too quick, refused to take small losses until I was forced to take large ones. Every trade defined me. Now, I am undefinable. Unshakeable. Not the captain of the Titanic but an observer, a survivor of cycles of trauma long past watching scenes unfold. Surviving until the final scene is how you cast the heart into the sea and take your payout. Don't be the captain. Be a survivor. A woman, a child, a man of service. It was not the bold who survived Titanic, only the small. Only the weak. And those who looked after them.

It’s a reminder that by participating in this industry, you’re agreeing to play by their rules... rules built to extract from you. By stepping in, you accept that risk. Learning how to play alongside them… that’s the brutal path of self-development. A road most won’t walk, but one that changes everything if you do. Those who’ve managed to go unscathed or profit, all had one thing in common: a key figure who saved them. You know exactly who that is. In my eyes, you can’t badmouth someone who offered free education to help the public avoid becoming another lost soul in the circus. Someone who tried to keep people’s livelihoods intact.
