Friends, today we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In December 1531, outside of what is today Mexico City, the Virgin Mary appeared to Juan Diego, a native peasant, leaving behind a miraculous image on the inside of his tilma. This image of Our Lady remains a powerful symbol of faith in Christ, and a reminder of Mary’s maternal care for the poor. May we continue to implore her powerful intercession.
