@bungarsargon Uh, there is a circular definition problem here, since how else to define "MAGA" but supporters of Trump? Many who voted for him are NOT OK with this shitshow. Which BTW has no chance of enabling an overthrow of the current regime, the ONLY legit excuse there could have been.
English

As I’ve pointed out repeatedly, there is no MAGA split on the war in Iran, or if there is, it’s the split between 90% of the base and the influencers who pretend to influence them. Here's an updated list of all the polling:
Batya Ungar-Sargon@bungarsargon
An updated list of all the polls showing massive support for the President's efforts in Iran with the MAGA Republican base. As CNN's Harry Enten points out, the share of the population identifying as MAGA is actually growing, not shrinking. batyaus.substack.com/p/ignore-the-i…

@SteveGuest Yes the Cuban people, but why would it be up to Donald Trump?
English

At least give credit, or did he rip you off first. Who is shopping this hollow talking point (no counter argument, natch.)

🚨 HOLY SMOKES. Sec. Scott Bessent takes ZERO BS from Fake News Kristen Welker “Why is the admin effectively rewarding Russia now?!” BESSENT: “Again Kristen, you're MISSING THE POINT! Kristen, whoever does your research, you should GET RID OF!” 📷
English

@kikolara23 WTF are you saying?! The pointless, promise-breaking attack on Iran absolutely did help Russia in terms of financial gain and other ways. I note you offered NO rebuttal, just empty fluff.

@C_3C_3 One of the most idiotic posts going around. There is little evidence of voter fraud, it is infrequent and states are already handling what little there is. Just an excuse to stop legitimate voters from voting other than what oligarchs want.
English

@elonmusk One of the most idiotic posts even by sharer's standards of foolery. There is little evidence of voter fraud, it is infrequent and states are already handling what little there is. Just an excuse to stop legitimate voters from voting other than what oligarchs want.
English

@buss_millie @Athol324 @EylonALevy @therealroseanne Sorry to come back so late, but most US voters are now NOT happy with the current war. BTW I supported helping the protesters there when they almost succeeded, this though is not that time.
English

@Paradoxer96 @Athol324 @EylonALevy @therealroseanne Trump campaigned on freeing iran for over a decade and said it out loud multiple times... people still voted for it, you're just not paying attention. The voters are happy he finally did something about iran.
English

@CortesSteve Idiot and Putin patsy. Russia could end this war anytime. Meanwhile, the fool you used to hang out with is ruining the world with his own new war.
English

Zelensky is a megalomaniac.
He’s not Trump’s “son” — nor is he our problem.
It’s time to end to this senseless war — and no more American money to this entitled kleptocrat…
Clash Report@clashreport
Zelensky: Trump and I aren't the same age. Maybe because of that, he sees our relationship like father and son. Reporter: You think he sees you as his son? Zelensky: I don't know. Maybe not his favorite son. But why not?
English

Yes, the claim is largely accurate based on reports from Reuters, USNI News, and others. France announced on March 9 (via President Macron) a deployment of ~10-12 naval vessels—including its aircraft carrier strike group—to the Mediterranean, Red Sea, and potentially Strait of Hormuz for defensive escort missions to reopen shipping. It aligns with broader allied efforts, including Trump's March 14 call for support.
English

@Osint613 NUANCE:
President Macron stated the mission is purely defensive, aimed at escorting commercial ships and eventually reopening the Strait of Hormuz as the conflict stabilizes.
English

@Houseofyogi No, "they" don't - instead, "they" (the sane, candid people you oppose and ridicule plus most of the public) are tired of the #AmericanDream being hard to achieve. Must of that because the very rich are sucking up all the value.
English

They want you to be ashamed of the American Dream
Your grandpa showed up with a suitcase and $40. Didn't speak the language. Didn't know anyone. Washed dishes until he could afford something better. Saved enough to buy a truck. Started a business. Then bought the building.
Your grandma watched it happen. And she raised four kids to believe they could do it too.
That's the American Dream.
It never mattered if you were born here or came on a boat. What mattered was what you were willing to build.
A kid grows up on a cattle farm in the middle of nowhere Nebraska. His dad never finished high school. His mom works the register at the only store in town.
Nobody in his family has ever left the state.
He tinkers with engines after school. Builds things out of scrap. Shows up to college with everything he owns in the back of a pickup truck.
Ten years later he's running a manufacturing company.
Not because his parents had connections. Not because someone handed him a trust fund or a last name that opened doors.
Because this is America. And in America, you're allowed to try. You're allowed to dream.
And the numbers prove it.
~23 million millionaires in this country. 79% of them are self-made.
902 billionaires. More than anywhere else on the planet.
13 out of the 15 richest people in the world are American.
73% self-made. They didn't inherit empires. They built them. In garages. In dorm rooms. In strip malls. On kitchen tables.
Jeff Bezos never knew his biological father. He started Amazon out of a garage and couldn't afford a desk so he bought a door from Home Depot and screwed four legs onto it.
Larry Ellison was abandoned by his mother at nine months old. His adoptive father told him he'd never amount to anything. He dropped out of college twice and built Oracle into a $200 billion empire.
Oprah was born into poverty in rural Mississippi to a single teenage mother. She became the most influential media figure on the planet.
Three people who had every reason to fail. Look what they built instead.
Tell me where else a broke kid with no connections can build a billion-dollar company and nobody asks who his father was.
You won't find it. Because every other system on this planet was built to keep people where they were born. Castes. Classes. Last names. Bloodlines. Old money. Old power.
America was built to break all of it.
An entire generation has been brainwashed into being ashamed of it.
They taught your kids that this country was built on nothing but slavery and genocide.
They put it in the textbooks. The movies. Every feed.
Until your 19-year-old can't say "I love my country" without feeling like he has to apologize.
They told you the American Dream was a lie sold to keep people down.
53 million people born in other countries chose to live here.
71% of them say they'd do it all over again.
They didn't pick France. They didn't pick Germany. They didn't pick China. They picked here.
Because they already know what you've been gaslit into forgetting.
Don't let them do this to you.
Don't let some professor who's never built anything tell your kids that the country their great-grandparents bled for is irredeemable.
Don't let some activist with a blue check convince you that a nation of 22.7 million self-made millionaires is a monument to oppression.
Don't let a politician shame you into believing that the people who build are the villains. Every time this country creates greatness, they tell us to apologize for it.
And don't you dare let a foreigner who's never set foot here tell you what your country is.
They've never watched a janitor's daughter become a surgeon.
They've never seen a single mom put herself through night school and end up running the department.
They've never sat at a Thanksgiving table where five different accents argue about football and nobody thinks twice.
That's not some ad, it's a Thursday.
Somewhere right now a kid is lying on the floor of a studio apartment doing homework while his mom works a double. He doesn't have a trust fund. He doesn't have a single connection that matters.
But he's got a shot. A real one. Because he lives here.
And if you let them take that from him, what are you even defending?
This is the country that looked at the moon and said "we choose to go, not because it is easy, but because it is hard."
So build.
I hope you understand what's at stake.

English

Depends on the conditions and prerequisites. If we had a mixed economy, the nation could provide jobs to almost anyone and there wouldn't be *an excuse* anymore to need unemployment insurance, which people need because of dependency on an unreliable exclusive-private sector. #Capitalism
English

@atrupar @BadFoxGraphics Fraud. There should be legal consequences for a shit outfit like that calling themselves "news."
English

Wow -- as first spotted by @BadFoxGraphics, Fox & Friends this morning used *old footage of a previous dignified transfer* to mislead their audience about the fact that Trump wore a baseball cap during the one yesterday
English

@mreolnmusk That is rather ironic to say, you might be able to figure that out.
English

@musagabro @lady_valor_07 Far out man. Cute and a little scary.
English

@wlyster @lady_valor_07 Why would EXIF info be on a photo taken that long ago?
English

@lady_valor_07 I downloaded the photo and looked at the EXIF information and can clearly see that this photo was clearly taken on July 7 of 1977. You’re welcome.

English

@ArthurMacwaters Don't we already have three-strikes rules and all that? People in the USA already serve relatively long terms.
English

Crime is not random
Only 0.2% of people ever commit murder, yet **67% of all murders**are committed by people with prior arrests
When the crime-inclined people are stopped, the crime stops.
You can literally just fix crime by not tolerating people who show a history of being destructive to society.
El Salvador is a great example of this
