Let me explain the “problem”… I’ve been following the market dynamics of many items, and they all showed a very similar pattern. Here’s what was happening: EXAMPLE: Person 1 noticed that Skin X had around 5,000 units in supply, starting at $100 each. He had a “brilliant” idea… “Let’s buy them all and control the price. It only takes around $500k–$1M to wipe most of the supply and pump the price up.” So he did it. Now he owns most of the supply and can control the price by buying higher and higher, pushing it up even more. As simple as that. Since you can’t short items in this market, Person 1 exploited the CS2 economy. The supply was being artificially bought up, making Skin X seem scarce, with lower liquidity and higher volatility, which kept pushing the price further and further up, triggering FOMO in the community. This started happening on a massive scale, across A LOT of items. Even pump-and-dump groups began to appear, fueling the problem. The result? A FAT BUBBLE with artificially inflated prices and most of the supply of many items concentrated in just a few accounts. Now if you think that was right or wrong… it’s up to you.
