@sonaljay8 I believe tourism is no brainer for Sri Lanka. It would be much better we expand the export opportunities by integrating our industries with India supply chain. value addition and logistics. Tourism is a low value industry with heavily volatile market.

Tamil Nadu is India's fastest growing state 🇮🇳 9.69% GDP growth. Per capita income 1.66x the national average. A $369 billion economy. Serious numbers. And it's one hour from Colombo. One. Hour. There's a growing middle class and wealthy population sitting right next door looking for their first international holiday. Sri Lanka should be the obvious choice. Same cultural roots. No language barrier in the North. Affordable luxury. But where's the Tamil Nadu or India country level marketing push by the @sltda_srilanka? Where are the Chennai billboards like the ones in Russia? The Coimbatore influencer trips like from Australia? The Trichy travel fair presence like in Paris? We're sitting on a goldmine and waiting for them to find us organically. As always, we are 3 steps behind.
