There’s a quiet all out war for the future of our country. Let us not misdirect our precious resources. I do not believe I lost due to fraudulent votes, mail-in ballots, hacking, or mistabulated results. I respect those who want to make sure, but I won’t be requesting a recount.

The data center boom has a geopolitical shadow. Think about it- in a world where military systems run on compute, the buildings that provide that compute will become targets. And the messy part is that a lot of this infrastructure is dual-use with civilian data, banking data, cloud services, defense contracts, intelligence workloads all potentially blurred inside the same ecosystem. So if these facilities are being built next to neighborhoods, schools, and homes, people deserve to know more than “it brings jobs.” They deserve to know what kind of infrastructure they’re living next to, what risks come with it, and whether their community is secretly being folded into the map of modern warfare.

@naomibrockwell This is actually a perfect scenario to use AI. Those 6000+ page terms and conditions written in legalese can be translated to normalspeak and summarized by chatgpt in a minute

"But you clicked consent" Consent isn't meaningful in a 60 page document written in legalese only for liability protection and not for actually informing people about what's going on.

What about when you are forced to accept the terms? Such is the case if you need to make an account at irs.gov. That requires a third party account with id.me and id.me seems to intentionally fail at confirming an individual with their ID alone, so they get a facial scan too. Either do this or you can’t login to irs.gov. This is unacceptable.

We worked with @RepThomasMassie for over a year on our Surveillance Accountability Act, to put meaningful guardrails back on surveillance. I'm not optimistic about the trajectory of privacy policy, now that he's been pushed out of Congress. We need brave people willing to fight.

Question, is there any place in the USA that is safe? Safe from chemical spray on our land, spray in the skies, free from the fear of having a data center in your backyard that takes your electricity and water?
