As any reasonable CPS parent would, I expect my child to be in school on May 1st, learning reading, writing, and math skills.

Brandon Johnson would never have become Mayor of Chicago without his mentor, Toni Preckwinkle. Toni plucked Johnson out of political obscurity to be a County Commissioner, supported his campaign for Mayor & has done nothing to stop his disastrous failures over the last 3 years. If you’ve had enough of Mayor Johnson’s failures, vote to retire his mentor & political boss Toni Preckwinkle on Tuesday, March 17th. It’s time for a change!

An email I received this morning from the law firm of Salvatore, Prescott, Porter and Porter: "As you know, we are conducting an investigation involving the CPS Board of Education and communications with the media.  We understand you have information relevant to our investigation. If you are willing to talk to us, we would appreciate scheduling time to speak with you." I have some questions.

$65,000 is the cost to Chicago taxpayers for the law firm of Salvatore, Prescott, Porter, and Porter to investigate who leaked the 'secret squirrel' board meeting where a property tax vote was to take place.

For context: Chicago Board of Ed President Sean Harden threatened to "force the resignation" of any board member who "leaked" information of a... public meeting, as well as details of the CPS Superintendent search. He retained a law firm, paid for by taxpayers, to conduct the "investigation."
