@PattyHajdu We agree it’s critical governments all work together to grow the $10aDay program. That means tackling the waitlist crisis by funding more non-profit spaces. And you can’t do that without fair wages for the staff taking care of our kids too. Hope you discussed these issues today!

Affordable child care is the foundation of Canada Strong. Families are already saving up to $16,000 a year — but our work isn’t finished. Today, with provincial and territorial counterparts we’re focused on building a long-term childcare system that works for Canadian families.

Today in Ottawa, child care advocates raised serious concerns about possible cuts to Canada’s $10-a-day system. Workers can’t work without child care. We must protect it, expand it and invest in it. #ChildCareNow #cdnpoli Watch the press conference: cpac.ca/headline-polit…

What a chaotic day! My daughter’s daycare is closed due to college strike. I’m proud of her educators who are fighting for the future of colleges & services they provide. Calling on @fordnation to fund colleges is part of broader need to fund child care & all public services!

More than 10,000 full-time college support staff are ON STRIKE as of 12:01 a.m. This is not just a fight for a contract – it’s about the future of student support. We’re fighting because we know our students need us. Join a picket line near you 🫵 opseupicketfinder.org

What we need from the provincial government right now is leadership to secure the future of $10aDay child care. The federal government has offered a 5-year extension agreement. @fordnation & @PaulCalandra need to sign it as soon as possible.
