Stop making this mistake with your starts — Athletes are often told to “stay low” or that they need to take “big long strides” While there are cases where these can work, more often than not it leads to a whole bunch of problems Athletes start to overstride They strike on their heels Their posture is smoked Now they’re not only slower, but little aches and pains start to pop up Shin splints. Hamstrings. Knees. All of those heavy heel foot contacts add up eventually So what should you be doing? 1) Stay off those heels 2) Rise like an airplane 3) Step down It’s that simple. If you can do these 3 things, you’ll become a better accelerator. Want to get faster? I’ve got a 40yd dash program made to help athletes of all levels improve their speed, power, and performance.
