@kevinroose Cool. Reminds me of the Pepsi Challenge in the 1970's and 80s. Pepsi won international blind taste tests among thousands of consumers because people preferred its sweet flavor in the moment. But only in small amounts. Hence the "sip fallacy."

Years ago, when @parmy was at WSJ and I was at Meta, she asked a product manager from the content integrity team if he thought the company was doing enough on harmful content. He replied that he was so sure of it, that he'd allow his teenage daughter to use the platform. I wonder if he'd say the same after yesterday's announcement.

An interesting first couple of chapters in this book, covering Sam Altman and Demis Hassabis - their history and how they got into AI I'm loving the writing style from @parmy Stumbled across this whilst in Waterstones in the hope I'd find an interesting tech book ... almost was a complete fail !!
