@EricDJuly It does stop you from getting it most of the time. They never, ever said it was a 100% effective, sterilizing vaccine. You just imagined that.

It’s incredibly important to note that “the vaccine doesn’t stop you from getting it, it stops you from getting sick” was a complete pivot. They explicitly stated once the vaccines initially rolled out it’d stop infection and transmission.

Vaccine-induced immunity appears to be more consistent than immunity after a Covid infection. Some people seem well protected post-infection, at least for a while, but others don't mount much of an immune response, and for some, protection wanes quickly.
