Hitting F-35 during a combat mission over Iran is going to change many things for this stealth aircraft. IRST lock gave heat detection range of F-35. It showed at which speed & altitudes, the stealth coatings failed against infrared sensors. F-35's infrared fingerprint is a priceless record for Iran now. This would be transferred to friendly countries. It will help in developing sensors to identify & target it. After 19th March 2026, the pilots of F-35 will fly defensively. This will degrade their effectiveness. They are no more invisible.

@simpatico771 Just because it ran away from the Houthis, didn't get too close to Iran and cut its voyage a bit shorter (and browner) than needed doesn't mean it's not a huge win for... the folks having to pay for it, while not being able to provide their population with affordable healthcare.

Can we mention how if this was a Russian ship it would be making worldwide headlines about the "poor morale" of the "humiliated flagship" sent scurrying after being "defeated" by a lesser foe, etc. Meanwhile US headlines: "USS Ford returning to port." @ProudSocialist Can we still take a second to "admire" the fact that, despite this being clear as day, people still refrain from even demanding to remove those in power? I think that's quite a feature of the system being put in place. People learned and internalised to be helpless and alone.

Iran is not our enemy. They aren’t destroying our way of life. They didn’t bomb us. Our country is bombing them. The enemy is within the gates. It’s the billionaires who buy off both parties to preserve a capitalist system which allows them to get rich off the backs of our labor.

Donald Trump was overwhelmingly elected by the American people to be our President and Commander in Chief. As our Commander in Chief, he is responsible for determining what is and is not an imminent threat, and whether or not to take action he deems necessary to protect the safety and security of our troops, the American people and our country.  The Office of the Director of National Intelligence is responsible for helping coordinate and integrate all intelligence to provide the President and Commander in Chief with the best information available to inform his decisions.  After carefully reviewing all the information before him, President Trump concluded that the terrorist Islamist regime in Iran posed an imminent threat and he took action based on that conclusion.

My guess would be that the combination of "education," fake values, skewed attention spans and foci, plus the ever-increasing atomisation of societies, forms a sophisticated layer of protection for the status quo. It was put in place by those wanting to benefit for a lot longer.

It's not so much that the current system doesn't allow for removing those in power who have shown themselves to betray their people repeatedly. It does, however, seem worse to me that not a single movement has formed so far, at least demanding that step. Learned helplessness? 🤔
