It was a privilege to be at the Press Awards last night, as one of the finalists in the Environment Journalist of the Year category. I was shortlisted for work that centred on the devastating human cost of plastic pollution and higher salt saturation in rivers.

Counterfeit motorcycle helmets contribute to so many people being seriously injured or killed in many cities across Africa and Asia. I would never have appreciated this before interviewing victims and their families in Togo and Kenya. A lifesaving initiative by @RoadSafetyNGOs
