Yob - Clearing the Path to Ascend (🇺🇸, 2014) Sadly, I'm not seeing them tonight, so making up for it by giving this album another listen. Still one of the best doom albums ever made. Also, could do with a new album, it's been 8 years #NowPlaying

Some crushing loud Machine Head anthems live and good mix of jazz today. Groovy weekend. Bit of Eurovision too I think.

@FolknHell Yes, not too bad a film. I should watch it again soon I think.

@davidjmoody Watched it a few weeks ago. It's an experience. Plus a fascinating, slightly sad but inspirational backstory to it. (Appreciated as a former animator).

@CeeChampion Yes, it really saved Bacon's career, turned it around at the time and he gain much credibility.

It's only taken me 27 years to watch this film. It was very much worth the wait. Wow. Some echoes of The Sixth Sense & The Shining, But very much it's own man. Interested to read the novel it was adapted from now! 💿📺

@CeeChampion I finally read I Am Legend a year or so back. He was a key figure in the change and progress of horror/scifi fiction of his time, into the '60s onward. Maybe the ideas, his perspective. Also wrote for Twilight Zone.

@CeeChampion Seems the original Richard Matheson story is good, but that would be expected. Fantastic author, would often twist a story a few times. Good Bacon performance too.

@rollins_green His works may feel familiar but probably because of the influence over many decades. Great style.

Finally giving The Willows a read. Curious about it, and Blackwood, who I have not read until now. Good news is, if I like this, there are several other works in the collection.
