@10DowningStreet @darrenpjones There is no need for employers to photocopy ID anymore. Systems like @TrustID_UK allow workers to scan and load their documents and have them checked. Legal workers know this is part of the onboarding process for any job!

@KirstieMAllsopp @SevenRooms Sounds like a GDPR breach. You can't collect data from a customer for one purpose and then use it for something else. Ask them what their legal basis for processing your data is.

I booked a table for lunch at a local restaurant yesterday, and they asked for my email to “confirm the booking” NEVER again, since then I have had 3 emails from ⁦@SevenRooms⁩ with seemingly no way to unsubscribe. 🙄😳

@japanauthor @KirstieMAllsopp @SevenRooms Yes but it is the restaurants responsibility to choose and operate a system that comply with UK GDPR. They are also at fault here.

@KirstieMAllsopp @SevenRooms Sevenrooms is a US platform. In my experience US platforms are notorious for non-adherence to European data- protection laws and marketing spam.

@realMaalouf Businesses put rules in place to conform with insurance needs. They need to mitigate risk and protect themselves. We seem to have got to a point where people think rules don’t apply to them and others making judgments on rules without understanding the reasons for them.

@realMaalouf I recently went to Egypt and no clothing was allowed in the pool. Women wearing t shirts were asked to get out. It’s a safety issues as waterlogged clothing can impede a swimmer. From the sign it looks like the same rules apply here.

It is deeply disappointing and unjust that women who wish to swim while maintaining their modesty are being denied access to hotel pools. If a woman prefers not to show skin for cultural, religious, or personal reasons, she should absolutely be allowed to do so. This restriction not only infringes on individual rights but also perpetuates discrimination and exclusion. Everyone deserves the freedom to enjoy public spaces, including swimming pools, without being forced to compromise their values or comfort. Such policies must be reconsidered to ensure inclusivity and respect for all.

This was a response to the white kid beating and bullying the other kid for some time while no teachers stepped in to stop it! Sometimes THIS is the only way to stop a bully!

This is outrageous. A migrant father restrains a boy so a pack of his tribe can assault a British boy. He is a pupil at Lliswerry high school in Newport, Wales. The school has written a press release to the parents. The @gwentpolice have appealed for information.

@RupertLowe10 My thinking is that the politicians are all over the Adolescence thing because the kid was white and that provides the cover for talking about other underlying issues. Had the kid been of another colour or Muslim none of these politicians would have touched the story.

How staggeringly depressing that a fictional drama generates more movement out of the British Government than the decades-long mass rape of vulnerable white girls by Pakistani gangs. Our rape gang inquiry will force the issue back into the spotlight, I promise you that.

@JeremyVineOn5 Why not? My sons school does it and where before the slightest sniffle would have ended up in a battle to get him out of bed and go to school -which he did, now we don’t have that problem. He chooses not to miss school.

When among other Muslims, they fully supported 9/11 & the eventual world domination, killing Jews & Christians unless they convert. She escaped & in hiding.
