Yes, that’s definitely a much more accurate description. Emphasizes on “Social”? And not so much on the Conservative portion. I’ve never understood how an elected MP’s can morally and in good conscience, justify floor crossing to an opposing party (ideologically speaking). Leave the Party sit as an independent MP. Either way, they were originally lying, or they are currently lying about their political beliefs and views. It’s usually a self inflicted Political suicide, a career killer. As no Party will actually trust them or truly financially back them again, and an independent candidates seldom win a seat. And the voters generally despise a Floor Crossing MP, who running again but now with the Party that was just previously defeated in that riding. I can’t remember any MP recovering after betraying the very constituents that previously voted for them.

Mark Carney is seizing a costly Liberal majority that voters denied him, and doing so through backroom deals. In January, MP Gladu said that floor crossers should face voters in a byelection to give voters the final say. I could not agree more. She should do so. The people in her community voted for our Conservative vision of a Canada that is affordable, safe, and strong at home, not for the costly Liberal government she has now joined. She should honour her word and let voters decide.
