On the first death anniversary of Mohd Sultan Pandithpori Sahib, I pay my heartfelt tributes to a distinguished leader, former MLA, and a dedicated public servant who devoted his life to the welfare and empowerment of the people of Langate and Kupwara. Sultan Sahib was a farsighted leader who understood that the true strength of a society lies in nurturing capable leadership. He consistently encouraged young minds to participate in public life and worked tirelessly to build a strong, responsible, and people-centric leadership in Kupwara. His vision extended beyond electoral politics, he believed in creating institutions, empowering communities, and preparing future generations to lead with integrity and commitment. His dedication, wisdom, and service-oriented politics continue to inspire us. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and in the values he stood for. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous

The hailstorm has wreaked havoc in large swathes of land in north Kashmir. District Kupwara specifically and Handwara and Lolab have suffered massive damage. Lakhs of people who earn their living in the Agriculture and Horticulture sector are staring at massive losses. Some losses may persist and extend over the coming years. There has been a fatality in Lolab. It is my humble appeal that government of the day ensures that relief and rehabilitation of those who have suffered losses is initiated.

What exactly is happening in Sidhra? A demolition drive carried out by the JK Forest Department against poor Gujjar families has now triggered outrage across J&K. If these structures were “illegal”, then how were people allowed to live there for decades in the first place? Many families allege they were not even served proper notices before their homes were demolished. What makes this even more ironic is that the very person heading the department is now out protesting publicly. If the department itself carried out the drive, then what exactly is his responsibility? Governance cannot work like this. Action against encroachment cannot become action only against the poor & vulnerable while influential land grabbers remain untouched. This needs to stop!!

The news coming in from Sidra is disturbing to say the least. There have been demolitions yet again. Can the government please for once treat the matter with seriousness that it deserves and explain who ordered the demolitions. If it is not them then who. And what are they going to do about it. Because I remember that this government enacted theatre of wailing and crying over demolitions in Jammu. And in the assembly when a question was asked, they defended the same saying all norms and procedures were followed. I condemn the demolitions.

I have a a humble request for @OmarAbdullah sahib. We had submitted our proposed plan to the R and B department, under C and T sector. I was perusing the list released by the department. They have tinkered with the list, deleted some roads sent by us and added some roads which have not been proposed by me. We welcome additional roads but not at the cost of the proposal sent by an elected representative. Why are you allowing this? Don’t humiliate and belittle an elected representative. Now don’t sit back and smile sadistically. What you do to us is what Delhi will do to you. You bend your back backwards and display disdainful servitude in Delhi and here you want to trivialise the institution of an MLA. If you are man enough and want to showcase your valorous traits showcase that in Delhi not in allocation of roads in Handwara. And to those officers who bypass law, this is not the end but the start. That is my promise.

A little birdie tells me that CM sahib called on the Home Minister recently. And the photo that emerged out of the meeting was CM sahib like an overexcited marathoner grinning from ear to ear, handing over a bouquet, ostensibly congratulating the BJP for the recent electoral meeting. In the meeting CM sahib apparently complained about the time taken for clearing the Reservation file. And apparently yet again CM sahib was informed that the file has been despatched 3 weeks back. Nobody it seems told CM sahib. And yet again, yet again apparently the Centre has queried as to how the sub Committe came to the conclusions that have been forwarded. Very humbly may I state. I had asked the same question in assembly and asserted that there is no evidence of research. The recommendations sent should have been a research backed document based on scientific evidence. Anyways. God bless those who voted them to power 🤔

Once upon a time in the year 2026, in the ex state of J and K there was a government. And in the government was a minister. And also in the government was there was an engineer posted in Kathua and promoted to the next level. He sought the help of the minister for transfer to mainland of winter capital. And poor guy did what he was asked to do. About 24 apparently. When the list came out he was posted to borders in the peer Panchal range. Poor guy doesn’t know what has hit him. The guy who got 24 won’t budge an inch. He refuses a refund and insists on 10 more for modification. Once upon time good bye. And good luck to those who voted for them.

Tourism is the backbone of Jammu & Kashmir’s economy, and the reopening of Tosamaidan for tourists can create immense opportunities for local youth, businesses, and the overall development of the region. After the unfortunate Pahalgam attack, several tourist destinations were temporarily closed as a precautionary measure. With most tourist spots now reopened, it is my humble request to Hon’ble LG @manojsinha_ to also reopen Tosamaidan with proper facilities, security arrangements, and infrastructure so that people can once again witness the breathtaking beauty of this paradise.
