JKPC President @sajadlone presided over a meeting with the Halqa Committees of Trehgam Constituency to discuss organizational matters and strengthen grassroots outreach. Chief Spokesperson @bashirdaradv , District President Kupwara Hafizullah Mir and other party leaders were also present during the meeting.

Restrictions were imposed on paying homage to Late Shaheed AG Lone Sahib, and our Party President @sajadlone was placed under house arrest simply for attempting to visit and pay respects to his late father. It is deeply unfortunate that even remembrance and tribute are now being subjected to restrictions. Never before has the country or state witnessed a political party being prevented from honoring and remembering its founding leader. Such actions not only hurt democratic sentiments but also undermine the basic dignity attached to paying homage to those who shaped political thought and public life through sacrifice and struggle. Shaheed AG Lone Sahib’s legacy belongs to the people, and no restrictions can erase the respect and admiration people continue to hold for him. @JKPCOfficial

The NC-led Government's move to order an enquiry into and report on any violation of the Forest Rights Act during the demolition drive in Jammu is a mere eyewash, similar to thousands of magisterial probes ordered into civilian killings in Jammu and Kashmir during the last three decades to calm public anger. This probe will serve a purpose only if the claims of the affected people under FRA are pending. It wouldn't have taken the NC-led government more than 10 minutes to find out whether there has been a violation of the FRA. Why seven days time for something which would have been established in 10 minutes. My understanding is that the demolition of houses will constitute a violation of FRA if their claims for individual/community rights are pending. *Sub-section (5) of Section 4 of FRA says:* (_"Save as otherwise provided, no member of a forest dwelling Scheduled Tribe or other traditional forest dweller shall be evicted or removed from forest land under his occupation till the recognition and verification procedure is complete."_) It means if you are a Scheduled Tribe or Other Traditional Forest Dweller living or farming on forest land, the govt cannot evict you or demolish your house until your FRA claim is fully rejected after due process. This is yet another denial and passing on the buck. Don’t be surprised. If the government in the assembly will pay itself on the back for setting up of the enquiry committee and also defend the demolition. I will not be surprised. Nothing about this government surprises me. Yet again UTT vs TUTT.

Deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to Er. Rashid Sb & Khursheed Sb on the passing of their beloved father. May Almighty Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and give strength and patience to the bereaved family during this difficult time.

A little birdie tells me that CM sahib called on the Home Minister recently. And the photo that emerged out of the meeting was CM sahib like an overexcited marathoner grinning from ear to ear, handing over a bouquet, ostensibly congratulating the BJP for the recent electoral meeting. In the meeting CM sahib apparently complained about the time taken for clearing the Reservation file. And apparently yet again CM sahib was informed that the file has been despatched 3 weeks back. Nobody it seems told CM sahib. And yet again, yet again apparently the Centre has queried as to how the sub Committe came to the conclusions that have been forwarded. Very humbly may I state. I had asked the same question in assembly and asserted that there is no evidence of research. The recommendations sent should have been a research backed document based on scientific evidence. Anyways. God bless those who voted them to power 🤔

Some leaders seek crowds some earn love. The way youth are rushing just to catch a glimpse and take a selfie with @sajadlone sahib speaks volumes about the connection he shares with the younger generation. This isn’t manufactured popularity, its organic affection, trust & hope. The future clearly resonates with his vision.

J&K must be the only place where a Chief Minister holding nearly 20 major portfolios still finds enough time to personally inaugurate a Primary Health Centre worth of Rs 2 crore today at Gulmarg constituency where he is fond of wasting half of the time of Chief Ministership in skiing ⛷️. I think this is a complete collapse of administrative seriousness. In any functioning system such inaugurations are handled at district or departmental level. Even a Sarpanch elsewhere may not have this much of free time. When the CM @OmarAbdullah himself is cutting ribbons for routine Primary Health Centre buildings, who is running Finance, Home, Planning, Power, Tourism and the rest of the government? Such is the tragedy and bad luck of the people of Jammu & Kashmir that the elected Chief Minister spend time on ceremonial ribbon cutting for routine projects while the real crises of governance remain unattended. The people of J&K truly deserve better.

Visited Keran Valley today with my constituency team Mr. Sheikh Altaf & Sheikh Aslam to stand in solidarity with the bereaved family of Late Liyaqat Ali Khan Sb (Naib Tehsildar). Also called on Mr. Sharafat Ali Khan Sb, uncle of the deceased to check on his health. Extended condolences on behalf of our Party President @sajadlone sahib who couldn’t be present due to ill health. Prayers for the departed soul and strength to the family.

I remember in 2015 I cast my vote in Rajya Sabha. Our party did not have a candidate but the ruling alliance requested us to have an agent of their choice. The said person was a non MLA and checked my vote and that of my colleague and fellow MLA @bashirdaradv It seems highly improbable that PDP or NC did not know the rules. Appointment of agents is the most important step in these elections. The rules are clear as enunciated by @umerjournalist in a tweet. There is no ambiguity. And a party can appoint an agent, whether the party fields a candidate or not. The only time when you can’t appoint agent is when the party does not want to appoint an agent. That NC did not insist on appointment of agents and PDP simply did not appoint agents hints at a much bigger spread in match fixing. The RTI by @umerjournalist strongly indicates that at least three parties BJP, NC and PDP, were a part of the Rajya Sabha match fixing. And that BJP could not have won the Rajya Sabha seat without the support of NC and PDP. Good luck to the people of Kashmir. Unfortunately the joke is on them.
