In this short monologue, I reflect on political polarization and angst among Pakistani diasporas in the US and UK. I draw from my personal experiences of living among Pakistanis in both countries over a decade. One's political views should not be so set-in-stone and rigid that other people's stance offends you by default. One should keep some room open for evolution and correction. Politics should be about being humble and open. If your political worldview is one based on a binary of good and evil, where your political opponent is inherently immoral, there is a problem. Finally, I make an argument for an open and sincere dialogue among diaspora groups of opposing views. I concede that a lot of people are already doing that. They talk to their political opponents in the spirit of an open dialogue and without notions of moral superiority and their monopoly over political truth.
