@superjan True! Typisch voorbeeld van Doublethink. Gelijkaardig aan: 1) Ukraine is winning! They are crushing the Russian army! 2) The Russians are about to conquer all of Europe! We must urgently prepare for war! Men maakt de mensen wijs dat 1) en 2) tegelijk waar zijn. Crazy times...

@Justduc96 P.S. Yes, that’s the book. It’s very well put together and gives you everything you need to understand how to chelate safely. The chelation itself, if done according to the Cutler protocol, is not expensive either. No proprietary formulas, no special branded products,...

@Justduc96 At the same time, mold can be absolutely brutal too. Right now, that is the issue I am working on most directly. Dr. Cutler was convinced that unusual mold sensitivity was caused by mercury. I have no reason to doubt that, but I also know I still have a lot to learn about mold.

Psychiatrists love lithium because it is believed to be a truly targeted treatment that justifies the whole edifice of medical diagnosis. It is nothing of the sort. It is a toxic substance that suppresses nervous system activity but is too toxic to be useful as a sedative. Its prophylactic properties have been exaggerated because it induces mania on withdrawal. Several studies show you have a higher risk of having an episode of bipolar disorder after stopping lithium than before starting it. And it does not prevent suicide, as we showed in our systematic review (Nabi et al, 2022) and has been confirmed by others. Lithium's toxicity and lack of utility was recognised back in the 1960s and 70s, but the allure of a supposedly specific treatment overcame any sensible discussion about it. cambridge.org/core/journals/…

@Justduc96 And the group is genuinely good at teaching people the core Andrew Hall Cutler chelation principles. No doubt about that. So, if you are new to this, it is definitely a very good place to learn.

@Justduc96 That said, I think this is probably due to some closed-minded admins. It is definitely not the whole group. There are genuine top-level Cutler chelation experts there who are not closed-minded at all. Rebecca Lee is one example.

@Justduc96 Yes, exactly, Dr Andrew Hall Cutler. I still remember how shocked and saddened I felt back in 2017 when I heard that he had passed away.

@Justduc96 You can also read Amalgam Illness, written by Dr. Cutler himself. It is brilliant and full of valuable information, but it goes much deeper than necessary if your main goal is just to start chelating safely.

@Justduc96 There is also a Facebook group. They are very good at teaching the core principles, but the culture is extremely closed: Dr. Cutler is treated almost like scripture, and other ideas, even if totally compatible with his framework, are generally not welcome.

@DrNeilStone Compared to for instance cardiologists, who often are true professionals, psychiatrists are basically voodoo-doctors They have no clue as to the underlying causes of psychiatric illness, no idea about the dangers of their drugs and no desire to get a real education.

Lol now time to re-taper cymbalta! One of my awful doctors put me back on it (at a non clinical dose because she was actually an idiot) before I realized the other drug was the thing causing all my symptoms. And 20mg is 70% receptory occupancy and you can't just drop to 0. This is fine though, just tedious and thankfully I can compound myself bc it's beads. I'd originally been on it for fibromyalgia and thankfully it always worked fine and I tapered off it fine last year after the thing causing my fibromyalgia was found and solved. V excited to never have to do this again after Nov. Using ChatGPT + @markhoro textbook to make the taper schedule and ID how many beads per dose amzn.to/4wfWu7X

Reminder: you cannot talk about machine consciousness without first discussing fundamental ontological models of reality. Most tech bros are not addressing which doxa they are operating by. Materialism? Monism? Dualism? Panpsychism? Something else? Most are materialist by default, but there are many aspects of reality that are not best explained by materialism.

@kimmonismus a classic example. For best results, it should usually be taken in at least three, and preferably four, divided doses per day.

@kimmonismus Excellent article! I would add one point that is often overlooked, but can make a major difference: frequency of dosing. Many supplements do not work optimally when taken as one big daily dose. They often work better when divided throughout the day. Magnesium is (...)

@Oedi_puss So while keto may be relevant, it is not a clean answer to a question specifically about inflammation. And the word “depression” itself needs much more precision. There are many kinds of depression, and those different forms can look very different.

@Oedi_puss Ketogenic diets do many things. They can lower inflammation, yes. They radically shift energy metabolism from glucose to ketones, yes. And they almost certainly have effects we do not fully understand yet. 👇

Name me all the anti-inflammatory medications that have successfully treated depression and have made their way into routine clinical use! Oh wait, there are none?! Crazy. Maybe we should be less confident about the origins of heterogenous complex process idk just spitballin
