@MCstar3000 @Pirat_Nation Its.... because of funding While I can't find exact info of how much funding it had, it is implied that they did receive a fair bit of funding before the additional 44 mil. They simply didn't want to risk that much funding on a new ip with no guarantee of success.

Nagoshi Studios, the company founded by Yakuza series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, has permanently closed. The studio’s Google business listing in Tokyo’s Ebisu district now displays a “Permanently closed” notice. NetEase ended all funding after determining that the studio’s debut project, Gang of Dragon, would require an additional ¥7 billion (around $44 million) to complete. No new publisher or investor was secured. The studio’s official website is now offline, its YouTube channel has been deleted along with all trailers and related content, and there has been no official statement from Nagoshi or the company.

No improvements? Its a drop (Everything else you said is valid, just my view on pilots)

@Inferbro The issue is these indie knock offs are usually very sub par cash grabs for the genre since Pokémon isn’t on PC. They almost always miss the point of why the pacing, collecting, and battling are so good in Pokémon. They’re always missing serious appeal.

@NockCS I find it funny that the only benefit is being able to show stuff a few days earlier that would be stuff the devs could do themselves, and its mostly cosmetic (not even early patch notes). Meanwhile the extra benefits I don't think anyone has been able to do or have any impact.

The more that time passes the more i start to think that this is bs, and with me not being able to make videos/tweets on datamines when other people are going to anyway, its starting to seem like being a creator is actually not a good thing at all especially when they don't give us codes to buy the new character or have creator codes to showcase them on our channels, unlike other creator programs where they most likely do be giving them stuff for showcases and what not idk im just very disappointed in the dev team behind the creator program since the only thing useful is just being able to post about animations early to ya'll

@ecutruin Interesting example you given honestly, but will just put it this way, generative ai isn't for me. The amount of redoing prompt or nodes in order to keep generating to get the image you want feels far too random, which is why I still prefer using a base image to then edit myself

What's wrong with promoting the use of AI tools to create art? Claiming that using these tools means you have no creative control is absurd. The artist guides the generative process and curates the result.

The moment you let the ai have creative control, it's no longer your project as it takes full control on how it looks with the person only able to slightly nudge it.

@ecutruin If every pixel you referring to actual drawings, then no, you would still be heavily limited. Even if you used it then made adjustments afterwards in a drawing software, your control is far less due to it being a singular image instead of layers (and if using ai it spam prompts)

I prefer doing it myself over wrestling with ai to get something remotely good. However expecting ai haters to a sudden flip is unlikely.

Looks like Party Animals is no longer a collab game for this girly. I’m unimpressed by this move. There are ways people can explain an idea without the need for ai. If someone isn’t an artist themselves there is written word. It’s a great way to explain concepts and ideas. Supporting the use of ai in a Contest is insane to me, but you went one step further. You have decided to make it a cash prize. You are only hurting yourself with this choice. On top of that, there are artists and talents that can draw or make their own videos and should be able to submit something without the need for ai. Your contradicting statements in your rules are only laughable. “All Submissions Must Be Original Works” “Entries Must Be PRIMARILY AI” How can your “work” be your own if you use ai? There is no way to tell if the things the program is using were uploaded with permission. There’s no way to tell which percentage of your “work” will be stolen from hard working artists.
