Pastors, the day is done. You can’t change anything. But that’s alright. Jesus will use your faithful efforts however he chooses. So, rest tonight. Trust Him. Sleep well. And let go.

I have completed all of my ministry assignments here in England. It’s been a very fruitful and encouraging time. Got to reconnect with some dear friends. And God bless the ministry of the word. I head to the airport early tomorrow morning to head home. Thanks for praying.

An exciting mid year report!

It has been a fruitful day one at the Grace Baptist conference here in Northampton England. I preached Titus chapter 1 this evening. I’ll do Titus chapter 2 tomorrow morning. Sweet folks. A wonderful atmosphere here.

Pastors, it’s Monday. Don’t resign. Instead… 1) Drink some good coffee. 2) Lift something heavy. 3) Pray honestly. 4) Be Still and Silent. 5) Sit with a safe friend. Bivocational pastors at your other job, apply these in your short breaks and lunch hour.

The answer to placing pastors in needy churches around the world is for local churches to train, affirm, and send out pastors from those churches by creating a pipeline within a church to accomplish this. @practicalsheph @churchinhardplc exists to help a church do this.

There is an interesting dynamic happening with a lot of pastors. They acknowledge two things at the same time. 1) They recognize they are weary. 2) They recognize they don’t know how to rest. Pastors must learn to rest to combat the weariness. There is no shortcut.
