We are saddened to inform friends that our dear brother, Voddie Baucham, Jr., has left the land of the dying and entered the land of the living. Earlier today, after suffering an emergency medical incident, he entered into his rest and the immediate presence of the Savior whom he loved, trusted, and served since he was converted as a college student. Please pray for Bridget, their children, and grandchildren.
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. – Psalm 116:15

On the death of Charlie Kirk, this is beautiful and stirring testimony from Frank Turek--his evident love for Charlie is itself a witness to the glory of the gospel.

🙏Thank you to everyone who joined us this past Saturday for our Prayer Night.
What a blessing it was to come together as a church family, seeking the Lord in unity and lifting our voices to Him.
Let us continue praying over these throughout the week:
🙏 The Kirk family – That they would be upheld by God’s comfort, strength, and peace.
🇺🇸 Turning Point USA – That the organization Charlie Kirk founded would continue to stand firm and bear lasting fruit for Christ.
🙌 The attacker and his family – That his family would be comforted in their grief and confusion, and that both he and they would encounter God’s mercy and salvation.
💔 Those who witnessed the event – That God would bring peace, healing, and draw many to salvation in Christ.
🇺🇸 Our nation – That God would grant repentance and turn many hearts to Christ.
⛪️ Our church family – That we would comfort one another and be bold in witnessing to the hope of the Gospel.
📖 The global spread of the Gospel – That God would use even this tragedy to advance the Gospel and draw many into His Kingdom.
🕊️ Let’s remain steadfast in prayer, trusting the Lord to work mightily through even the darkest moments.

A lot of people are talking about Israel, Israel's current war with Iran, about Israel being surrounded by enemies, about what needs to happen if Israel is to survive. It is helpful to remember Israel's history. The Lord chose Abraham and his descendants by grace knowing they would be a stiff necked, stubborn, and obstinate people. The Lord claimed Israel as "my people" before the exodus.
The Lord made unilateral covenants with Israel and He cannot lie or break His promise. The Lord has protected and fought for Israel even during times of Israel's rebellion. He does not fight for Israel because the nation of Israel is sinless, comprised of all believers, or because their rulers always make wise decisions. He does it for His own names sake and the sake of the fathers who He made covenants with. The Lord fights for His chosen and often wayward people. The Word of God is clear about Israel's divine protection and history provides many examples.
As the Apostle Paul says in Rom. 11:25-29, "For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery—so that you will not be wise in your own estimation—that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; 26 and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will remove ungodliness from Jacob.” 27 “This is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.” 28 From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God’s choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; 29 for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable."
