@WomenPostingLs If she was truly repentant, she'd try to tell her followers (many who are probably women) to wait rather than post that. Culture of lack of consequences for women continues to be at play (particularly because she's American and some sort of evangelical/prot).

@WomenPostingLs "lost count" means a large number. Definitely grim, especially to post that online (no doubt her husband is aware). There's a difference in being repentant, the past is what it is, but you can't conflate someone who was pure initially to someone who never fell to such sin.

Christopher Columbus was so infamously cruel that the Spanish crown paid to send someone to Hispaniola in 1500 to investigate. This resulted in a 48-page report detailing the testimony of two dozen witnesses, and the investigator himself, of how Columbus had mismanaged the colony, cut off ears and noses, tortured colonists that questioned his authority, paraded women naked, and sold natives into slavery. He was arrested, tried, and stripped of his titles. Some people that witnessed his barbarism, who had initially supported and participated in his colonization efforts, became so disgusted by Columbus's behavior that they also published accounts of his atrocities and began advocating for the rights of Indigenous populations. In particular, a contemporaneous Pope, and many other lesser Catholic figures, condemned Columbus explicitly, viewing his behaviors as grave offenses against G-d. Matt, you are literally more of a cretin than people that died before 1600 BCE. I wouldn't call you a conservative, I would call you a barbarian.
Matt Walsh@MattWalshBlog

Christopher Columbus is the ultimate IQ test. You immediately know that someone is a retarded halfwit if they start screeching some nonsense about how Columbus was a genocidal maniac or whatever. Intelligent students of history understand that he is one of the great men of western civilization. This is an awesome move by the White House.

@MorrowindGOTY I've lost my original MC account (one I bought when Notch shilled on /v/ in 2010ish) when Microsoft forced an account conversion. I bought a new account for $30 and forgot the password. Now I don't really care to buy it again, Terraria is "good enough".

NOW - Dame Sarah Mullally is officially "enthroned" as the Archbishop of Canterbury, head of the Church of England, becoming the first woman to take the role in 1,400 years.

@redifroga It upsets me because this is because the USMLE step 1 stresses memorization. Shelf exams somewhat, but more application based. Most clinicians don't know the MoA of drugs, or even histology of certain pathologies. Pushing students to just memorize for sake of memorization.

@redifroga Unfortunately a core part of higher education, namely in medicine (speaking from experience). I've noticed people memorize ppts and information, but don't know how to apply it in a meaningful way.

@sibune_lnz @WaifuverseAI It's the truth. Also the problem with America is Americans. This type of mentality was not present in Europe for that matter.

@WaifuverseAI Why not abandon this semitic desert religion? You see its prophetic baggage is contributing to American foreign policy in the Middle East, right? It won't even provide you with foids anymore, why bother?

The entire point of the church is for dating and marriage. THATS IT. Christianity is the only one who seems to have forgotten this. And that's why it'll be gone within the within 50 years.
Mack@kenzietuff

Man posts in local Facebook group, moving to area. Asks which Catholic parishes have thriving community, would be best for single man to attend- “is successful + seeking wife soon” + same faith is priority. Entire comment section berating him. “Church isn’t for dating!”

@Utterly_Jean Only if they're attracted to them. Also social media bolsters women's egos, it's akin to the dopamine rush to men from video games/sports.

@autocorrect2_0 Rush Limbaugh use to humorously say we need to get young men to marry single moms and all these damaged goods girls as their patriotic duty to save the country. As usual, he was right.

Marriages like this are an exact model of Christ and the church. Redeemer and redeemed. Boaz and Ruth Hosea and Gomer God and Israel
Trevor Sheatz@TrevorSheatz

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

@TheNintendoGoof There's nothing wrong with graphics (FFX & FFXII intro sequences were beautiful, still are. Even graphics of the OG are impressive with the time). But dumbing it down by removal of turn based is awful.

every one talking about the FF series and coping instead of saying it how it is. The story telling has gone to shit. Turn based never needed to be completely removed. Cutting edge graphics OVER substance was never going to work.

@WVojakk I've spoken to people without hobbies (like social media, doomscrolling). At most they listen to pop music. Very boring, the women expect you to entertain them 24/7. Productive hobby (cooking/garden) > consumptive hobby (watching Netflix)
