@MikeGrinnell_ @EvanMarinofsky I feel like he needs to make the team as one of the top 3 centres or spend some time in Providence. Nothing wrong with some time in the AHL if he is not ready.
English

@EvanMarinofsky Seems hes just better as a center. Wonder if he starts on wing or down middle next season

Claude Lemieux carries in the flame.
In days of yore, he was hated by Neely.
Game at the Garden, Lemieux turtled, all fours.....and Neely dragged him into the corner and mashed his face into the wall,...once, twice, thrice....
It just so happened, the banner ad in said corner was The Boston Globe.
Lemieux left the building that night with...wait for it...a nose for news.

@MickColageo @GlobeKPD It was pre 1988 that was really painful vs the Habs in the post season
English

@GlobeKPD I remember the photo and your column. Amazing how the Bruins eliminated Montreal in five out of six seasons over a seven-year period 1988-94. Then they didn't play them again until the 2000s.

I had no idea Quebec was so wet!
Junah the Magnificent@lumby2vernon
@Climatologist49 @mattlanza Fun fact: Cape Dorset has more precipitation days than Seattle even though it receives less precipitation than the likes of Bismark, ND and San Francisco. Also, I notice that stations up the extreme high arctic get trace precipitation almost every day all winter long.

@_TyAnderson Maybe push the Bull gang to have proper ice. The ice conditions are horrible in Boston and does not help our skill.
English

@BruinsLow lol, not a shot at brass at all. We were neevr going to be a contender this year.
English

100% this is a shot at the brass, guy played all year with Aspirot, who played admirably but you arent a contender with a top pairing like that.

McAvoy: “We squeezed every drop out of this group.”

@_TyAnderson Hagens did NOT look ready for the playoffs, he will get his chance. Go with the guys that were part of the team all year. JH44 is not saving our season in a desperation game.
English

Not if they're sitting their best offensive prospect since Pastrnak for Eyssimont and/or Steeves, I agree. Just yesterday, Sturm talked about the importance of younger players playing in these moments and experiencing failure. Sitting him for these guys does nothing for anybody.

@_TyAnderson I understand the emotion of this series, but this series means zero in the grand scheme of things of how the Bruins are as a team over the next 4 to 5 years.
English

@ConorRyan_93 @BruinsDiehards Haggens needs to sit. He looks timid and nervous with the puck.

Just want to let people under the age of 30 who follow this crappy feed know that there was a time when everything was not through the fucking looking glass in this here union of ours. It wasn't always Alice In Wonderland daily. Maybe one day again.

Developing language story in Quebec.
French broadcasting rights for the Montreal Canadiens next season have yet to be determined.
In English, situation is set. You subscribe to TSN and Sportnet, you can watch all the games.
In French, it’s much more complex. Sources tell @JeremyFilosa that RDS already loses $500,000 per game they broadcast, and they cannot take on the share of games they’ve had in the past. TVA Sports is also bleeding money, and they cannot pick up the slack. They may even need to get out of broadcasting games completely. That leaves streaming to fill the gap. But if the Canadiens go that route, it would put the team in a situation where English fans have it much better than French fans, both in cost and complexity. The Habs are aware this would be a terrible look.
And a bigger long term question is how will Canadian broadcasters keep up with escalating rights fees as the country’s economy continues to stagnate. This is the canary in the coal mine.
