Nobody gives a shit how fans treat a player. I"m simply saying you're delusional for calling Marner the problem. Or even part of the problem. NYI fans can't stand Tavares but you're going to have trouble finding a single one of them calling him the reason the team wasn't winning.

#isles I really like that Foudy and Eklund are coming up. But I don't want it lost that Varlamov is LTIR loaned to Bridgeport with these shuffles. I've no idea what the future holds for Semyon but the fact he's going to try and make a come back is super impressive.

#isles I'm reading all your comments, guys, but I'm going to disagree with a lot of them. This team doesn't need more grit. It has loads of grit. This team doesn't need more speed. It's fast enough. This team needs skill and finish, yes, but that's not what's happening right now. This team needs a coach. They are getting outmatched behind the bench. They were unprepared to play. They have a terrible scheme that has been a struggle all year long defensively. They have the worst changes in the NHL and it's not close. The PP is a disaster. They can't manage the game at all. It's coaching before everything right now. It's coaching.

@islanders_takes Another good point. If Shaf was the usual top 10 pick, 2 years away from a full NHL season, the isles should be happy with 35 win season. They got lucky with a generational talent and a 3rd string goalie that got hot mid season. Palat and Schen are place holders for Ek and Nelly

#isles I think condemning Darche on Year 1 of his tenure is really not it. I don't love everything he's done but I think you have to give a GM 2-3 seasons at least before you can look at his total body of work and make a real determination. I feel strongly we all believed this roster was not quite good enough the last few years and it's largely unchanged, missing KP, Engvall, Romanov, and Varlamov - but suddenly we're supposed to believe this roster is close to greatness if only our GM didn't trade for some marginal upgrades or adds at the deadline. Just don't think that tracks for me.
