Well, Pat.. every US Military Member is STILL trained on the duty to disobey illegal orders, what constitutes as an illegal order, and the requirement to follow presumably legal orders. Our Troops do not need civilians, former Military or members of Congress to tell them not to follow illegal orders. You and I both know the reason this is happening is because you and your “side” don’t like the President’s policies. Your side veils your statements as patriotic reminders, and other ridiculous analogies… when it’s clear you are trying to sow dissent in the ranks… primarily among junior officers and junior enlisted.
Obedience to the President to follow his orders is a requirement. That is a fact. Nothing you can say will change that. It’s in the Oath of Enlistment… and the same Oath I swore to as a Commissioned Officer.
If and when President Trump or the senior military leaders issue our troops clearly illegal orders, I will stand right next to you and do what we can to put a stop to it. Until then, your rhetoric is nothing more than political hogwash.
