What's a piece of video game music that while not bad in isolation, does not fit the context in which appears in the game?

@SomethingClassc @PatMakesRPGs I think it would need to start good, show promise, get the player interested, then throw it all away in a huge betrayal of the players time and investment in the story. If it's bad from the start nobody will care.

@PatMakesRPGs Hi Pat, I read this book and it is indeed amazing. Felt so satisfying to see why and what made the game so good! A great read. However, what's up with the pricing? Seems to be $50 or €60. I know a book like this is a lot of work, but that is a very, very high price...

Chrono Trigger is so fascinating to me because it gets brought up in the JRPG community a lot but rarely do I see people discuss the actual contents of the game. It’s usually just people saying “it’s peak” and that’s it. Not that I doubt that’s true ofc but it’s still so strange
