@raven_brah There was no minimum wage in the UK until 1999 - long after "boomers" were growing up. And there was no fast food (including no burgers), "affordable" or not, when I was growing up. We never ate out, we had no fridge, freezer, central heating, washing machine, dryer, TV, car, etc

Boomers seem to forget that fast food used to be a normal, everyday expense for them because it was affordable. You could get a burger easily on minimum wage, it wasn’t some fancy treat you had once a year as a reward for pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.

When George Floyd died in police custody, “I can’t breathe” became the rallying cry for rioting that rocked the entire country. BLM raked in millions, police departments were defunded, and Floyd became the leftist version of a saint, “martyred” by evil cops, one of whom will spend the rest of his life behind bars. Henry Nowak also died in police handcuffs, begging the cops to understand that he couldn’t breathe. He died specifically because of racial profiling — so where are all the rioters, then? Why aren’t the cops facing punishment? Where are the infuriated leftists, the protestors, the secular beatification of the dead man? Oh, wait — I forgot. Nowak was white.

Racial profiling caused the death of Henry Nowak. Officers looked at him, and immediately decided that his race meant he was the aggressor. He bled to death, lying in the street in a pair of handcuffs, because UK cops have been trained to see pale skin and immediately think “racist” — and because Vikram Digwa knew that. As a cop, if you have two people, one of whom is upright and making accusations while the other is lying in the dirty street bleeding to death and saying he’s been stabbed, you’d have to be a complete idiot (or just very carefully trained) to see the person on the ground as the aggressor. To then tell that person “no, you weren’t stabbed” instead of checking to see — the incompetence is so staggering as to be almost unbelievable. This is what DEI has done to what was once the finest police force in the world. I hope the family sues them into oblivion. Rest in peace, Henry. We aren’t going to forget you.

They hate you for noticing the pattern. During the Summer of Floyd, a Black, drug-addled career criminal died while resisting police after committing a crime, and whole cities burned while we were lectured endlessly about “racism.” Now Henry Nowak, an 18-year-old White first-year student at the University of Southampton, is stabbed multiple times by Vickrum Digwa, a Sikh man carrying blades under Britain’s sacred multicultural laws. Henry was walking home after celebrating with his university soccer team. He was not some violent thug. He was sober enough to be under the legal driving limit, in good spirits, sending videos to his friends, and simply trying to get home. Digwa stabbed him in the chest and in the back of the legs as Henry tried to flee. Neighbors heard Henry crying that he had been stabbed and was dying. When police arrived, Digwa played the race card, called Henry a “drunken racist,” and the officers believed him. Henry told them he had been stabbed. One officer replied, “I don’t think you have, mate.” Then they handcuffed him anyway. He died after telling police he could not breathe. He bled out in the street while his killer stood there, shielded by the very system that should have saved him. The same political class that screamed for years over Floyd now falls silent. That silence tells you exactly whose lives matter to them, whose do not, and why they hate you for noticing.

@chloidc My issue with open plan is that cooking smells are going to permeate throughout the house. The smells are what I loathe the most about cooking - I hate the smell in my hair and on my clothes, so I certainly don't want them in my bedroom or bathroom.

Open floor plans suck. More specifically floor plans that have the kitchen open to the rest of the house. Kitchens can be one of the messiest places in a house. While you're cooking you got a lot going on and now also you have this pressure to have the kitchen be all aesthetic and shit. The kitchen, for me, is a utilitarian space. It is not a cute place. I like being able to close the door and not see the dishes.

I am very curious to know why someone so controversial and divisive as Meghan Markle would travel abroad to give a speech, as if genuine admiration awaited her or that she was liked. Personally, I'm glad she went on this trip alone; perhaps it will show her that the handful of people who attended may have been begged or bribed to come, as they looked disinterested. This trip will let her know that all the past events she has had with her puppet (Prince Harry) shows, the few people who come to see them are mainly drawn by her husband's royal connections. Surely this experience should offer a dose of reality to her self-perception that she is someone of great importance when many do not see her as such. If I were to give advice, it would be to cherish her puppet and nurture their relationship, because without him, she risks fading back into the Z-list actress that she was, before she slept her way into the house of Windsor!

**Public records show zero prominent public denunciations from Keir Starmer specifically condemning attacks on Christian communities or persecution of Christians worldwide.** He has repeatedly and quickly condemned attacks on mosques, Muslim communities, and Jewish communities (including recent antisemitic incidents in the UK). Critics, including UK MPs and groups tracking religious freedom, have highlighted this as a gap and urged him to address cases like those in Nigeria more directly.

If the courts say that a man can be a woman simply because he says he is, then the whole of society breaks down. Everything becomes meaningless, because if a man can be a woman by saying he is, then a man can say he’s a lion and be a lion. Say he’s a rhino and be a rhino. A three year old child can say they’re an adult and demand to be treated as one in a pub. A mountain may no longer be a mountain; it could be a lettuce if someone has said that it is. You see? A man saying they’re a woman and being told they are by a court renders the whole world insane. And that’s exactly what it is to call a man a woman: insane.

Never mistake constant headlines for actual impact. The reception Princess Catherine received in Italy versus Meghan Markle’s solo appearance in Switzerland shows the stark difference between genuine public affection and constant media headlines. One draws crowds organically. The other generates constant coverage. Those are not the same thing. Mistaking headlines for credibility may prove to be Meghan Markle’s biggest miscalculation.

@XOQueenEsther She obviously has no class or taste (well, just bad taste). There's almost nothing elegant or right about this image - not what is shown nor its placement. And what in the world is a fish knife doing on what looks as if it's pretending to be afternoon tea (in coffee cups)?

This is HORRIBLE! Every Ass Ever photo looks like it was styled by someone trying to convince strangers they descend from imaginary European nobility, and you just know the tea is cold because the photoshoot lasted 6 hours. 🤭😂 This is what happens when aesthetics become the entire personality. 🥱

It's not vegan leather. It's plastic. It's not oat milk. It's a beverage made by enzymatically processing oat starch and emulsifying it with rapeseed oil. It's not vegan cheese. It's coconut oil, modified starch, and titanium dioxide pressed into a slice. It's not plant-based meat. It's pea-protein isolate, seed oils, and methylcellulose extruded into a patty. It's not a butter alternative. It's an industrial spread invented by a soap company. It's not a milk alternative. It's water with oats and additives, sold for double the price of milk. Every product on the plant-based shelf has been linguistically rebranded to borrow the legitimacy of the food it replaced. The cow has not been consulted on the use of her name. The sheep has not consented to the term vegan wool. The marketing department in London has consented to all of it. The animals predate the marketing department by ten thousand years. The marketing department will be gone before the animals will.

Dear Keir, I am fighting for the soul of the country I was born in and grew up in.  In everyone I’ve stood alongside in this fight, I have seen only decency, fairness, and respect. When I look at you, I see the person actively sowing the division you claim to oppose. Look at the facts: When was the last terrorist attack on British soil carried out by a “far-right thug”?   When was the last wave of knife crime driven by “far-right thugs”?   When did we last need to put steel barriers and armed police around Christmas markets because of threats from “far-right thugs”?   When did Britain suffer mass grooming and rape of vulnerable children by “far-right thugs”? You know the answers. Yet you continue to protect the wrong people and vilify the wrong ones. Why? Is it that you genuinely cannot see the reality? Or that you simply refuse to? I am a mother and grandmother who has never protested in my life until now. I have never been in trouble with the police. I am a hard-working, tax-paying, respectable member of my community. Yet according to you and your government, that makes me a “divisive,” “racist,” “far-right thug.”I am none of those things. I am simply a woman who loves her country and can no longer stay silent while it is damaged. It’s time to stop smearing concerned citizens and start protecting British people..... all British people. Yours sincerely, A concerned mother and grandmother
