This is full-on hypocrisy from the extremist Greens. In the last term, a woman was expelled from a Committee hearing for wearing a scarf with the suffragette colours. But somehow, the Greens think it's ok to make such blatant political statements when being sworn in as MSPs. 🤷‍♀️

@jemmm85517813 Having spent my life in a veterinary practice I've noted that if we had got through the work load at the rate they do in Our NHS Hospitals the surgery would have been bankrupt in a week. Bureaucracy took priority, little gets done and they all get paid while patients deteriorate

My mum didn’t own a smart phone or computer. Many of our elderly have worked & paid taxes all their lives, my mum definitely had. This is age discrimination, it’s the same with car parks. Why should the old be forced to buy phones they don’t want or can operate ?

Dear UK Banks, Please stop with these savings accounts that pay an eyecatching interest rate for 12 months and then revert to 0.0000000000001% for the remainder of their life. It forces us to go through an annual rigmarole of reapplying for accounts - or else receive derisory interest at a time when inflation is devouring our savings. Just stop it, ok? It's one of the many reasons your customers hate you. Just pay a decent rate for all time. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Fiona Hill adds her voice to Lord Robertson’s warning. These are people who do not make a habit of such interventions. The situation is extremely serious and Parliament as a whole now needs to exercise its authority to create pressure to act. Select Committees cannot compel Ministers to attend and I’m not sure we’d learn anything if they did. The bottom line is that the PM and Chancellor either don’t recognise the crisis or are unable to act due to their own MPs. They are failing in their first duty and the consequences will be terrible.

Anyone getting benefits totalling over £12.5k per year in value should have to pay tax. If the pensioners have to, and minimum wage workers have to then so should they. There shouldn’t be a two tier system between those who work or have worked and those who have not
