I accidentally outed myself on a preschool field trip. We were touring a hydro dam and the tour guide said "2.8 million liters of water go through this pipe every minute; if someone needs 4 liters of water every day, how long would that last them?"

Some Rutgers fans have historically voiced displeasure at giving up a home Big Ten game at the RAC to play at MSG. In my opinion, this is small-minded and AD Zinn totally gets it. She is a pro. There is no better marketing opportunity for Rutgers basketball than to be in NYC at MSG and plastered all over the NYC papers. Take the recent Michigan State game. The crowd was easily 90-10 Rutgers and the building was packed. UConn or St. John's level packed. The surrounding events were terrific. It was a Rutgers infomercial. Yes, Rutgers lost, but an injured Dylan played like 6 minutes. There were loads of recruits there and it mattered to them. They all want to play in MSG and it seems clear that the Jimmy V. has no interest in Rutgers participating. Do it every year and the women should ultimately play UConn there.

Retention and portal addition is the name of the game in college basketball. When you have the resources, you can do both. Rutgers Basketball is a 1-2 more pieces away from my purchase of season tickets I’ll tell you that.

As described here, new NCAA eligibility rules (for example the age limit being discussed) won’t end lawsuits. They’ll just lead to new ones. It’s why we’ll likely see a CBA in at least some college sports in the future. Need to be sport specific.

Here is the reality… The people who want budget cuts for athletic departments are the same people who want premium seating to the big games. They won’t tell you that in polls.

@EllisVGordon Bobby Hurley said he stopped recruiting guys that were great at defense, because he can't teach them to score, but he can teach a scorer to play defense as long as they are willing. Said if you have guys that will score 1,000 points, you will win a lot of games.

Let's start with the good: I still think Pikiell (with the right personnel) can coach a top defense. The defensive game plan was great today until the offense grinded to a halt, and Creighton was able to get out and run.

I’m in the camp of our coach should have previous HC experience. How difficult is it to recruit girls to LSU with the brand and money and Mulkey, etc.? This isn’t LSU so if he’s not able to recruit at a high level, we could find ourselves in the same spot.

Steve Pikiell did things w/ @RutgersMBB not seen in 30+ years: 1st NCAAT since '91, 1st NCAAT win since '83. With a regression to 4 missed NCAATs in a row, the new #Rutgers AD is indicating change must occur in roster construction & system. 2026-2027 is rightfully the prove-it.

For the one billionth time, Steve Pikiell will be back at Rutgers. Why are people still speculating? And I, for one, hopes next year goes well and they see postseason. It is the right move on many levels. And it is the right move to make next season the be all and end all one. Especially since there will be competitive, mid-Big Ten $$$. Zinn knows the terrain.

the teams "ahead" of Rutgers here include -Mississippi Valley State, infamously the worst team in America (ranked 365th on KenPom, out of 365) -Rider, a horrible team from a university that may close any day (KP 357) -Chicago State, which I don't know much about (KP 343)
