We came to Germany to tell the story of the Alberta Advantage and that’s exactly what we have been doing. We started the day with Canadian Ambassador to Germany, Vera Alexander @vaalexan to discuss strategies to strengthen Alberta’s trade relationship with Germany 🇩🇪 We also sat down with Bavarian Minister of State, Eric Beißwenger to advocate for Alberta’s oil and natural gas sectors as reliable solutions for Germany’s energy challenges. We also discussed how, as NATO partners, Germany’s defence investors could utilize Alberta’s training facilities while helping to grow the economy. European markets are clearly hungry for what Alberta can provide!

I appreciated the conversations at my Premier’s Summit on Fairness for Newcomers today. Alberta has a long history of welcoming newcomer to our province, so they can help grow our economy and build a better life for themselves. But it has to be done right. That means sustainable numbers, real job opportunities, and the supports people need to succeed. We’re committed to building an immigration system that works for both Albertans and newcomers. That will always be my message.

Yesterday, the White House approved the advancement of multiple pipeline projects carrying Alberta oil to the United States. Expanding pipeline capacity to the U.S. is something I’ve been advocating from this U.S. Administration since their last election. It has paid off! This is great news for Alberta and Canada. It has the potential to unlock hundreds of billions in energy investment for our province and country. We hope the federal government moves this fast when it comes to our pipeline project submission in June. Let’s get these pipelines built!
