Thomas centred Cozens on a line today for Team Canada and I haven’t been able to get this dream out of my head McCann - Stützle - Batherson Tkachuk - Thomas - Cozens

@sabreappraisal “Scott Wheeler” Yeah, no, I don’t trust Scott either. I get this information from watching them myself.

Don’t take Corey Pronman seriously. He admitted he was wrong, and I give him a TON of credit for that, because it’s tough to just eat that and move on. However, I have a hard time finding a time he was actually right. Sorry, but this years rankings are a disgrace, Corey.

@HadiK_Scouting You guys project him to be an elite skater and still have him ranked lower Pronman, so throwing shade at his projection of a player seems a little contradictory and insincere. Also a little childish from a legitimate publication.

@Scouching It’s Chase Reid vs Mathis Preston, just read his explanation, it’s not that hard. One is a 6’2 RD projected to play on the top pair, the other is a 5’11 winger who will struggle to handle the physicality of the nhl and to impose his offense on a consistent basis

@sensfan9116 @SensCentral Lots of amateur scouts working for nhl teams have never played at a high level. That means nothing. There’s more to scouting than looking at YouTube highlights and looking up their HockeyDB page like you probably do

@sensfan9116 @SensCentral He’s definitely not. If you pay attention to his work closely, he does not care about clicks or public opinion or else he’d be interacting with the public sphere a lot more frequently. Both him and Scott work really hard all year even if you disagree with them.

@VinnieParise A lot of scouts would disagree with your tier breaks, what makes you think that McKenna and Stenberg are a full tier ahead of the rest? The offense they bring is great but they’re both 5’11 wingers at the end of the day with varying degrees of competitiveness.

It is absolutely not impossible for Ivar Stenberg to fall to the Chicago Blackhawks at pick 4. The wild card is the San Jose Sharks. If they take a defenseman, which would be them drafting for need more than BPA, anything is on the table, especially if the mutual interest between the Vancouver Canucks and Caleb Malhotra prevails.
Mark Masters@markhmasters

Caleb Malhotra on potential to be picked by Canucks: "Growing up in Vancouver, going back home would be really cool. That's the team I cheered for most of my life. My dad (Manny) being a part of that organization, it'd be interesting" 🙂 tsn.ca/video/2026/05/…

@KadriSens I feel like if he comes to the Sens, 12.5-13M would be the minimum he’d consider extending with us

The Dallas Stars have 11M in cap space to sign 2-3 Forwards including Robertson and Bourque. Can’t help but to think how much value Batherson at 4.9M would have for a team like that next season.

@KadriSens Question for you, what’s the limit AAV you’d be comfortable paying Robertson?

@PatrickScouting The fact of the matter is, there’s a chance it doesn’t get done and if it doesn’t, I can see a scenario where Batherson+ for Robertson is a possibility

@PatrickScouting Well he’s not a UFA, and Dallas has to be able to squeeze him within their cap. Last we’ve heard, Dallas isn’t ready to give him Rantanen money. If they can’t meet his ask , they can decide to trade him, then everything is fair game.

@KadriSens Iwhy would Robertson an American living in a no tax state on a team who is one of the genuine contenders in this league (3 conference finals in a row before this years blip), decide to move to a city in Canada with a worse team in a high tax environment for an extra $4M total

@PatrickScouting They have to make the money work first. Ottawa would have to offer him 12.5M or so at least. We shall see what happens

@KadriSens Idk if he would accept that, 500K extra over 8yrs is only an extra 4M and in a province that has a lot more tax vs Dallas being a no tax state. We’d have to really sweeten the deal to entice him to come over.

@KadriSens Yeah he’s staying in Dallas, EF basically said they’re gonna offer him $12M aka the Rantanen deal. The only reason he doesn’t stay in Dallas is if he decides to play elsewhere, the only reason he would decide to play for Ottawa over Dallas is because we’re offering >$12Maav
