Public transit in China is 10x better than in Europe. It’s not even a comparison. It’s clean, trains are wide (makes a bit difference), it runs on time, and it feels very safe.

Just visited China. What a nonsense. Crowded, noisy and very often smelly (not just from heated foods) in 2nd class high speed trains and stations. Filthy toilets, even toilets next to the 1st and business class coupes can be quite filthy. Not to mention most high speed train stations are in the middle of nowhere far away from city centers.
