@NetflixUK @netflix so today I am watching Manifest, great series, and as normal there is a mobile where we are expected to read the message. However with my Dyslexia I need to pause to read and all I get is rubbish overlaid what I need to read! WHY, Netflix discriminates!!!

@BDAdyslexia This is great, I am 57 and was not diagnosed until I was in my 40’s, it made no difference to my life except telling me why I have difficulties. It’s about time media outlets did something, anything to help all us. Netflix putting ads on pause, poor! !!!!!

@BDAdyslexia Hi, I am trying to get Netflix and to stop putting Ads in their app when you pause to read text and subtitles, can you help put pressure on them as well? Also the BBC could do more to help. Would love to chat about the issue.

Should do more to support disabled people with reading disability’s, allowing ad free pause in the software, charging subtitles to scrolling not just there and gone!

@netflix @NetflixUK @BBCNews @BBCBreakfast why does Netflix discriminate against people with reading disability’s!! The BBC talk about MND every week which effects a minority amount of people, however dyslexia effects millions and it is not discussed! Netflix, BBC etc…….

@SarahForRuncorn Hi, not sure if you will read this? Your comments are only slightly wrong, I see 50% blacks in adverts. However 90% of adverts are mixed race, that is way wrong, if that was the case the white race would be wiped out, and most of them are white women with black men, RIGHT?

My comments on a Talk TV phone-in earlier today were phrased poorly and I unreservedly apologise for any offence caused, which was not my intention. The point I was making is that many British TV adverts have gone DEI mad and are now unrepresentative of British society as a whole. This is not an attack on any group but an observation about balance and fairness in how our country is portrayed on screen. A study commissioned by Channel 4 as part of its Mirror on the Industry project, found that Black people were featured in more than half of adverts in 2022, up sharply from 37 per cent in 2020 following the Black Lives Matter movement. By contrast, Black people make up around 4 per cent of the population in England and Wales, according to the 2021 Census. Representation in advertising should reflect the diversity of modern Britain, but it should also be proportionate and inclusive of everyone. My comments were made in that context, and I stand by the principle that equality should mean fairness for all.

@NetflixUK Why does the Netflix platform actively discriminate against disabled people!? Meaning anyone with a reading disability like dyslexia cannot pause and read the text!

@ANNO_EN I love Anno, but these requirements just go to prove that a console like the PS5 is much more friendly with no need for system requirements. Eh! Why haven’t you spent time bringing the PC updates of 1800 to the consoles? Just want more money releasing a new game?
