I’ll never forget the fall morning in my first weeks at GW when the smoke rose as a plane hit the pentagon. When we huddled around TVs and then I went to see it for myself, as close as I could safely get.

Tomorrow let’s celebrate this man, Marv Levy, as he turns 100. He earned a masters degree from Harvard. He is a military veteran, led his team to 4 straight Super Bowls, is in the @ProFootballHOF. And he once said about a SB: “This is not a must win. World War II was a must win.”

No matter our views, most of us agree we should get government job numbers we can trust. But by firing civil servants, we become a government where a president can cover up economic failings.
We clearly need our own economic solutions in Illinois

President Trump says he is firing the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics after the weak jobs data. BLS puts out the jobs reports, CPI inflation, productivity and employment cost index, among other key statistics. This is basically unprecedented and will raise concerns about US data integrity going forward.
