Currently at a boutique hotel. Yesterday, while my daughter napped, I looked for a spot for a zoom call. Found a plain unmarked door, opened it... and locked eyes with a naked woman mid-spa prep. We both froze. I shut the door in panic. Awkward seeing her at breakfast 😂🇬🇷

@aussieflya I was 16, first time in NYC. My host fell through, and the morning I had to leave, I had nowhere to sleep that night. I went knocking on the door of strangers that I'd met the night before while crashing their party. They welcomed me in. I stayed 2 nights. I’ll never forget.

@PaulFromEurope What's the craziness thing you've gotten at no cost by asking politely?

Most powerful tool to ask and efficiently get anything you want: Politeness

I always remind my 2 year old daughter to say “thank you,” “you’re welcome,” “hello sir/madam,” “bye.” Just like brushing teeth—doesn’t always feel urgent, but it matters. Funny how some kids skip it and just giggle. Politeness is just basic training for life.

December 2019, I hosted a black tie dinner in Palm Beach for about 80 clients With creativity we save thousands on the dessert (Refined bakery in that area cost that much) Maurizio Cattelan’s banana was released the week before This is what we served, guests loved it 😂

Flying for 8 hours with your 20 month old daughter is always anticipated with fear, Would the person around us be annoyed by her presence ? Realizing today that we were sitting between a pre-school teacher and a pediatrician, had made us a sense of relief 🙏🏻

A friend has a successful art career, selling paintings from $5K to $100K, depend on sizes, and grossing annually $1M in sales Thinking outside the box, he bought a few vintage cars-Ferrari, Bentley, and Porsche- not by passion, but to gain access to exclusive rally events

From these networkings, he now sell around 10 paintings per year. Insurance for the car is set up the day prior to the rally (for 30 days only) and because they're vintage, he only needs liability coverage. The best part, the cars have even appreciated in value!

@SecretCFO My suggestion is to make sure that your daughter knows that she has no obligation to continue to go to that school, if she don’t wish to, starting today. And that if that’s her decision, you’ll find alternative solutions.

One of my kids is getting bullied at school. The school are dealing with the bully… but it’s hard to find the right thing to say to console my daughter. Any tips from parents who’ve dealt with this before? Could do with some fresh ideas heading into the weekend…

That’s not very considerate of them. If you invite kids your have something suitable for them to eat.

Friends invite us over for brunch, say to bring kids. We get there, and the only thing they serve is foie gras, sushi, and crackers. Kid’s so hungry he decides to eat the sushi for the first time. He takes a few bites, throws up all over the place, and we have to leave.

Biggest New York City tax: Breaking out the jacket today, and will need it until May 15. If we ever move back to California, this will be the reason.

Honest question for parents with young kids: Are you really going out much? Thought my wife and I would be going to dinners, shows, meeting friends, etc as we raised our kids, but it's a couple of times/month max. Both kids under 5: turns out we're totally fine staying home.
