It is with profound sorrow that Fire Chief Paul Hasenmeier announces the sudden passing of Firefighter Marc Matto on January 23, 2025. Marc has been a dedicated firefighter for Hernando County Fire Rescue for the past 18 years starting his career in 2007. Marc spent most of his career serving the community out of Fire Station 8 in Ridge Manor. The family has requested privacy while they cope with this unexpected loss. He will be greatly missed by his friends, family and HCFR family. Funeral Services are pending.
