My Dad, Ernest Maxin passed away peacefully this morning aged 95. His work with Morecambe & Wise, Charlie Drake, Dick Emery, Dave Allen & Kathy Kirby is a legacy known by many. To me he was Dad. Loving Grandpa and husband too. RIP Dad xxx

The term ‘Judeo-Christian’ is principally a political slogan created in, and imported from, the US. It’s used by hard right Evangelical Christians who’ve aligned themselves with hard right Israeli politicians. Given Nigel Farage is America First (not Britain First) it’s of no surprise he’s using it. It’s what plastic patriots do.

Oh please. Churchill was not only an advocate of the ECHR, and championed a United States of Europe in his visionary 1946 speech in Zurich. His played a pivotal role in funding and stabling the Central London Mosque in 1940. Thatcher envisioned a single market of 300 million people, treating it as "Thatcherism on a European scale" to increase competition and trade access for British exporters.

We are mid cycle in very parlous times nationally and globally. Our party politics is fragmented. Need to redefine purpose, strategy and why vote LD.
