Today, the FBI and NYPD disrupted a plot by a member of a pro-Israel terrorist organization to assassinate Nerdeen Kiswani.
This is a reprehensible act of political violence. There is no place for it in our city nor our country.
I am thankful Ms. Kiswani is safe and the assailant is under arrest.

Last night Israel deliberately killed at least 3 journalists and also struck a van of 5 medics, killing them all. This comes as their forces are getting ambushed by Hezbollah semi-regularly on the ground.
Killing medics and journalists from the air is safer and likely connected to the battlefield losses.

@volcaholic1 Concentrated solar thermal plants were developed in the US in the 80s. We have several in SoCal and the Mojave, I used to drive by the one in San Bernardino all the time. We're actually shutting them down because it's old tech now that photovoltaics have gotten so good.

China’s solar power plant in Dunhuang uses around 12,000 mirrors to focus sunlight onto a central tower, heating molten salt to extreme temperatures.
That heat is stored and used to generate electricity on demand, including after sunset.
