Our government is taking action to speed up vulnerable sector police record checks so people can access jobs and volunteer opportunities faster. These changes will reduce wait times while maintaining strong safeguards to protect the most vulnerable.

People deserve to feel safe when they take transit to work, school or home.
That is why our government is proposing new measures that would give special constables the authority to stop people from using illegal drugs on transit and in transit areas, along with the ability to issue tickets or make arrests if they refuse to comply.

It was great to host Minister @PaulCalandra at Norwell District Secondary School in Palmerston recently.
It had been a few years since I last walked those halls as a student, but it was great to be back and showcase all the great things happening in one of our rural high schools.

Today, I was joined by @RobFlackEML and @PinsonneaultLKM to announce 9 new and expanded schools in the London area.
Our investments will support growing communities so that students have the modern spaces they need to succeed.

Student success starts with having the right environment to learn. That’s why our government is investing $1.6 billion in 79 school construction projects in Ontario.
We’re building the schools students need, and we’re making sure they get built quickly and on schedule.

Ontario is building a new state-of-the-art hospital in East Gwillimbury as part of our $64 billion dollar plan to build more hospitals.
Once opened, the new facility in York Region will include:
🩺 expanded acute and post-acute care
🔬 increased inpatient capacity to connect people to care sooner
🚑 new Emergency department with diagnostic imaging and upgraded infection and control measures

We're strengthening financial literacy in our schools so students build practical, real-world skills, including how to manage money, make informed decisions, and plan ahead. A new graduation requirement will better prepare students to succeed outside of the classroom.
