People unknowingly and casually use the term "Upper Caste." We've become habituated to it. But perhaps it's time to rethink that. There are only two administrative categories: General (Open) Category and reserved categories. Whether reservations should exist or not is an entirely different debate. But in an ideal society, no one is "upper." Especially when referring to ourselves, saying "I am Upper Caste" sounds feudal. Upper to whom, exactly? Going forward, let's normalize using General Category or Open Category instead of Upper Caste.
